oil painting by Sara Divya
Forest
When the lift line was long in the Back Bowls of Vail, my home,
I would kick off my skis and climb a spruce tree. The crows and ravens would loudly announce my location as a part of nature and also a temporary intruder. I am drawn to the raw beauty and extremes of the mountains and ocean. |
Alone
When alone in nature or in meditation, I feel peaceful, but feel the weight of responsibility to assist ushering in the change that is necessary to survive the exploitation of people, animals
and natural resources during the last throws of late capitalism. We are living in a time where it is plain that we need a new way of living. |
Power
There has been so much loss of life from weather extremes due to climate change and the constant and escalating war around the globe. This painting arose from the weight of so many that are suffering and crossing over to other realms. How can we lift others up with love? There is enough if we share resources equally and
respect All as our equals. |
